Meet the friendly staff at Petcare Animal Hospital!
Dr. Scank graduated from Purdue University in 1990. After several years of practicing Veterinary medicine, she opened Petcare Animal Hospital in 1996. She is an animal lover and has horses & dogs. Dr. Scank spends time every week at shelters around the area performing spays & neuters to help control the pet population.
Dr. Wesley graduated from Purdue University in 1993 and has been practicing veterinary medicine in the Terre Haute area since then. She has always wanted to be a Veterinarian, is an animal lover and has horses, dogs, cats & goats. Dr. Wesley visits shelters in the area performing spays & neuters.
Dr. Moudy graduated from Oklahoma State University in May, 2018 and is very happy to come back to Petcare where she was a Technician prior to attending Veterinary School. She has 3 dogs and an interest in Exotics.
Dr. Maynard is a graduate from Purdue University. She decided to become a Veterinarian at the age of 13 when she had a black lab the same age as her that passed away from Cancer. She then wanted to pursue helping others and their pets. She enjoys continued learning and the ability to work in a team environment.
Dareth’s passion for animals and Veterinary Medicine started when she was 4 years old. She was always captivated by the Veterinarian that visited her family farm to tend to the animals. Dareth started as a Veterinary Assistant when she was 16.
She decided to further her career and completed her degree as a Registered Veterinary Technician in 2009. After working in small animal medicine she found herself being drawn to shelter medicine. In 2011 Dareth left general practice to serve as the director for the Parke-Vermillion County Humane Society, until 2015 when she joined the Petcare Team. Dareth loves being the practice manager but often sneaks to the treatment area to help with procedures and keep her tech skills sharp. When not at Petcare, Dareth enjoys spending time and making memories with her beautiful baby girl Brenyn, showing dogs, and camping with her family.
Jan is Retired now but comes in every now and then to help us when we need it.
Laura began working at Petcare in 1997 for about a year. She returned in February 2009. She loves animals and has dogs, cats, parakeets & a cockatiel. Most all of her pets are rescues. She also helps with wildlife rescue rehabilitation, mainly songbirds.
Her current position at Petcare is Receptionist but she also takes care of the website and other social media. She enjoys seeing all the animals that come into Petcare and loves being able to watch the puppies grow up throughout the years and loves puppy breath! She has a self-proclaimed “cat problem” in that she has never met a cat she did not want to take home. Besides working at Petcare, she also has her own plus size women’s clothing store in Terre Haute and enjoys taking photos at demolition derby shows.
Kristy joined the Petcare family in July 2016. She is an active member of Cross Tabernacle Church and sees each day as an opportunity to help and encourage those around her. She is married, has 2 daughters and 2 grandchildren. She is blessed to share her home with 3 amazing rescue dogs, Squishy (American Pitbull Terrier) and Moriah (Great Dane) and Beau (American Pitbull Terrier)
Karen currently works as a Vet Tech with the Doctors mainly assisting with daily Surgeries. She operates a rescue where she helps find homes for both dogs and cats. She works the DNR and is licensed in wildlife rehabilitation. She also has dogs of her own.
Andrea joined the Petcare family in 2015 as a technician. She has many pets of her own, including dogs and cats, a flock of ducks and chickens, cockatiels, a lovebird, and a horse. Andrea has a passion for rescue work, and runs a small non-profit dedicated to the rescue and placement of senior and special needs pets. In her spare time, Andrea loves to travel the world. She looks forward to finishing her schooling and becoming a licensed veterinary nurse in the very near future.
Mackenzee has been working as a technician at Petcare since 2014. She is currently a Senior at Indiana State University majoring in communication with a concentration in Public Relations. Mackenzee plans to continue her education in Veterinary medicine after graduation.
Mackenzee enjoys fostering and working in rescue and has loved animals since she was a toddler. Mackenzee currently has 6 rescue dogs ranging from 135 pounds to 4 pounds. In her free time, Mackenzee enjoys spending time with her pets and husband Colin, volunteering and helping with rescue work. Mackenzee's favorite part about working at Petcare is that everyone is a huge family and we have some really amazing clients. Mackenzee also enjoys being the clinic clown and making her coworkers and doctors laugh.
Reghan joined the Petcare family in 2015 as an intern and has worked her way up to being a Veterinary Assistant. She is a freshman at Indiana State University and is studying Pre-Veterinary Medicine with a major in Biology. Her herd consists of 3 dogs, a kitten, and a bunny! Reghan has wanted to be a Veterinarian from a very young age and is most interested in Exotics and Marine Life. The most important thing in Reghan’s life is her family and she spends most of her free time with them. After her undergraduate studies, Reghan hopes to be accepted into Veterinary School and eventually become a Veterinarian based in Florida.

Courtney has one dog & one cat. She also has an 8-year-old beautiful daughter. She enjoys spending time with her fur babies & family as much as possible. Her favorite part about working at Petcare is working with nervous animals to make them feel comfortable & at home in our boarding facility while there.
Jerrica trained in Florida for 8 months before starting her Grooming career 11 years ago.
She has been working at Veterinary Clinics since the age of 15.
She loves animals and enjoys pampering them and making them feel & look great!
While in Florida she rescued animals and all of her furry family members are rescues.
